Welcome to Casa Santa Luzia!

The holiday house Casa Santa Luzia is located at the “Ria de Aveiro” lagoon, in the village of Veiros, near the litte town of Murtosa (2 km).

Tourists can make long, delightful walks in the marshlands at the lagoon shore, as well as at the beautiful beaches at the atlantic ocean shore nearby. Anglers can also feel at home at the banks of the huge Aveiro lagoon. Casa Santa Luzia is also a perfect starting-point for one day excursions, for example to the cities of Oporto (45 min), Coimbra (45 min), Fátima (90 min) or even to Lisbon (120 min). The most recommendable beach is Torreira which can be reached by bicycle or by car (15 min.).

Estarreja is another little town nearby, 5 km away from Casa Santa Luzia. Here you can find supermarkets, banks, petrol stations, internet cafés, restaurants...

For extravagant shopping tours you should choose the university city of Aveiro, known for its modern shopping malls, cinemas and the theatre. During the school period the city is full of university students and so the offer of discothekes, boutiques restaurants and cool bars is considerable.

The Santa Luzia house hat two sleeping rooms, one sitting room (which can be used as an additional sleeping room), a kitchen, a bathroom with a bath shower and bidet, as well as a terrace with garden chairs for 6 persons.

How to get to Casa Santa Luzia:

Coming from Oporto:
Take the highway A1, direction Lisboa; after approx, 40 km take the exit ESTARREJA.

Coming from Lisbon:
Take the highway A1, direction Porto; after approx, 180 km take the exit ESTARREJA.

Coming from Spain (Burgos, Madrid, Salamanca):
At the portuguese border in Vilar Formoso, take the highway A25, direction Aveiro, approx. 12 km before Aveiro take the exit ESTARREJA.

After the highway, exit ESTARREJA:

Drive into the town of Estarreja, drive over the train bridge, direction “Murtosa” & “Torreira” & “Praias” (beaches). At the second roundabout follow the direction “Veiros" (not Murtosa, Torreira).
After 4 km you see on your left hand a little church (chapel) in blue painted tile “Capela de Santa Luzia”. Turn left into the little street “Travessa de Santa Luzia”.
The house no. 5, right in front of the chapel, is the Casa Santa Luzia.
